Family

I spit out words, venom-like words

To describe the fate I share with this lineage

As if our relationship is illicit

Intertwined in an endless spiral staircase

as if seeing my father is arduous.

Eager to share all my ambitions

Without restriction

I find myself yearning for something fragile yet sturdy

As they all call me mysterious

I guess I know why they furious

I yearn for independence

to become a phenomenal woman.

So, father and mother I love,

For all the peace and achievement

I crave, but I must leave you.

Nostalgia

On nights that insomnia creep into my room,I respond by writing everything down, and yesterday was one of those days.
